Creation festival to move

near Seattle next summer

SEATTLE — America's largest Christian music and teaching events, the Creation festivals, have a new venue for the annual Creation Northwest, and it is near here.
After 12 years in the high desert and extreme heat at the Gorge Amphitheater in Central Washington, Creation Northwest is moving next July 21-24 to the picturesque green valley at Enumclaw (Wash.) Expo Center.
According to festival leaders, the new site, also known as the home to the King County Fair, will be the perfect setting to carry on the Creation tradition of paying “Tribute to our Creator.” The Enumclaw center offers spectacular views of Mount Rainier and Northwest landscape.
“We are extremely excited to see God provide this great new venue for Creation Festival Northwest,” said Pastor Harry Thomas, festival co-founder and director. “As Creation 2010 Northwest embraces the beauty of Mount Rainier, green valleys and cooler temperatures, we are believing for the Lord to do great things for the thousands in attendance.”
Festival organizers say the new location is conveniently accessible to many of the Northwest’s major metropolitan areas and is a better commute for fans and ticket purchasers, while putting major highways, hotels and the like within a short driving distance
Enumclaw is 120 miles from Portland, about 50 miles closer to the Rose City than the Gorge site. For more information go to www.creationfest.com.
