The workshop deals with grief from a variety of sources: loss of a spouse due to death or divorce, loss of job, loss of a relationship, loss of home and other significant losses. Both the Petries lost their first spouses to sudden deaths. She is an ordained minister and hospice chaplain; he is a professional educator with advance degrees in counseling and psychology.
