Statewide 'Line in the Sand'

Tour starts June 2 with

expanded schedule

    Announced in April as a 20-county effort, the Line in the Sand Tour that seeks this month and next to remind Oregon of its Christian roots has since been expanded to all 36 counties in the state.
   The tour begins Tuesday, June 2 in Malheur County and concludes July 17 in Clatsop County. In each county is a noontime rally outside the county courthouse, and an evening event at a local church. As of press time for Christian News Northwest, specific locations were set for 26 of the 36 evening church events; the remainder are to be posted at www.roaroregon.org.
    The tour is sponsored by three Christian organizations: Prepare the Way ministries of Bend, Newberg-based ROAR (Reviving Oregon’s Amazing Roots) Ministries and Salem-based Concerned Oregonians.
